Maine stone and granite along with reclaimed stone and granite are the heart of Flagstones, a Guilford hardscaping company. Owned by Harvey Wilbur, the business can “build anything out of natural stone.” That includes intricate staircases, walkways, and patios among other environmental accents.
This year’s entry will put his stonework experience to the test, creating a display that features the stony medium.
“At Flagstones, we feel that no matter what you want us to do — from steps to a patio — should have artistic flair,” Wilbur said. “We can set it in stone.”
As as Garden Show veteran, Flagstones will once again use stone to accent a creative landscape. Wilbur hinted the display may include a stone sailboat. Past visitors will recall the display with a granite train.
The show is also an opportunity to reconnect with colleagues while inspiring visitors.
“We’re a bunch of friends getting together to do an exhibition [while] working together to put on the best possible show,” he said.
